Shoaib Shahin, a leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has said that the sentence of PTI’s founder, Imran Khan, could be suspended.
Speaking to a private TV channel, he reacted to the 10-year imprisonment sentence in the Saifur Rahman case against former Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said that in the Saifur case, the sentence of PTI’s founder could be suspended within fifteen days.
Shoaib Shahin said, “Wherever I hold a corner meeting, they arrest people, but they also arrest one person, the whole village stands with us.”
Legal expert Hasan Raza Pasha, commenting on the verdict of the Saifur case, said that the case against the founder of PTI could take up to one and a half years.
It should be noted that yesterday, in the Saifur case, former PTI Chairman Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi were sentenced to 10 years in prison each. The Special Court Judge, Abu Al-Hassanat Zulqarnain, delivered a brief verdict orally under the Official Secrets Act.
